GENESIS MOMENT:
ANSWERING YOUR HEART’S CALL FOR FREEDOM

God has used Genesis Ranch and the book written by Pastor Justin Strecker, “Genesis Moment: Answering Your Hearts Call for Freedom”.  The information unpacked in this book forms the backbone of the curriculum covered during your stay at Genesis Ranch.

Here are just a few who wanted to share their stories with you.

TESTIMONIES FROM THE RANCH:

JEFF PEPER

“Having considered Justin a dear friend most of our adult lives I am thrilled to see this book come into print. There can be no change in a person’s heart without the gospel, no attempt can be made to recover the image of God without first receiving redemption. The acceptance of salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way we can overcome the sin we have become enslaved to. The book never waivers from this principle. Once the gospel is established you will be shown why we are never satisfied in this life apart from Christ, and then challenges you through times of writing, personal reflection and finding a team you can confide in. The book uses real life stories to prove that you are not alone in your struggles. Whatever you’ve done that may appear unforgivable, there is forgiveness in the cross. To the man or woman truly seeking change in their life, this resource will prove invaluable.”

“I truly believe that it was by Divine appointment that I read Genesis Moment. As a Spirit-filled Christian I thought I was where I needed to be in my walk with The Lord, but I still had a longing in my soul for something more. The Holy Spirit revealed to me while reading this book that coping mechanisms I had developed from early childhood were causing me to rely on myself and use self-comforting measures instead of trusting my Heavenly Father. I had always taken pride in being known as a “strong woman”, as I came from a long line of so-called “strong women”. After doing the exercises in the book, I realized how the enemy had used my coping mechanisms to not only suppress me, but I saw how for several generations he had been using the same tactics to keep the females in my family in bondage, some of the tactics were so subtle. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes. I knew it was time for this to stop. I confessed my sin and laid it at my Father’s feet. As a result of this obedience, I feel like I am closer to Him than ever before. He is such a good and merciful Father. I can’t explain in words the difference there is now. I feel a closeness to Him that is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It is like an addiction to being in His presence. I would encourage anyone, especially females, to read this book and give the Holy Spirit the opportunity to reveal any schemes that the enemy would be using to hinder you or your family’s walk with The Lord. I am so very thankful that The Lord inspired Justin to write this book to help us step into a closer walk Him.”

Anything that I write in this entry in an attempt to describe the impact my Genesis Moment experience has had would be insufficient. I just now stand at the threshold of what journey the Spirit of Holiness has set my heart free for and the true impact is still unseen. Because I was so convinced that His Spirit had drawn me to this book in my journey toward breakthrough and freedom I pushed past my skepticism and worked through the exercises. It was through the obedience of confession in completing the autobiography assignment in Chapter 5 ( what I devalued the most) that I received the revelation of the true impact of my sin reflected in the love of Messiah and the deception that was hindering my relationship with Him. My relationship to the author has provided a unique opportunity for understanding as I continue to work and grow through the process. It has also allowed me to witness daily how his life manifests the truth of what Messiah has revealed and is revealing to me. Justin has been surprisingly honest and transparent about his own journey. He isn’t just writing about it…he and his wife Jordan actually live out what’s presented in Genesis Moment. It’s only fair to warn you that the process though glorious is seldom comfortable since being shown the cost of surrender and discipleship means having your sins and flesh reflected in the Holiness of our Creator. Fortunately the agenda of our Father is to heal not to wound and this process, for me, lead to an encounter with Him that enabled healing. Without exaggeration there has been more encounter with His Spirit, more breakthrough, and more revelation in the months since beginning the Genesis Moment experience part of my journey than in all the wilderness before. I share this book and my experience with people in the hope and belief that Daddy can heal His other kids through His Truth woven through the message of this book the way He has for me. Ask The Spirit if this book is a part of your journey. Either way your freedom and healing is found in Him. My prayer is you’ll find it.

BILL STEINORTH

“As a man in my 30’s who went to church all of my life, but never really changing the way the Bible talks about, I went through this process with Justin, along with many other men. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, I came face to face with many Biblical truths in a way I have never seen explained anywhere else. Being confronted with the fact that pain early in my life, brought on by sin and used by the enemy of our souls, caused me to view myself in a way that is totally opposite of the way God sees me, and resulted in coping mechanisms that I nurtured as a result of not knowing Christ intimately, has opened my eyes to actually fighting these harmful and sinful habits. The path of healing followed by obedience laid out in Justin’s book, in conjunction with a Biblical relationship with my Creator and His son, Jesus, has changed my life. It is practical. It is powerful. It is most definitely Spirit breathed. And it simply works. I have never been the same and I never will be. Praise the Lord! I am free indeed!”

“One year ago, I found myself in a truly deep place of mourning for the loss of a loved one. I had travelled to India to find respite from the discomfort. On the journey home, I was fortunate enough by extreme circumstance, now understood as divine intervention, to sit next to Pastor Justin. Pastor Justin would then plant the seeds of Christ deep within my aching soul, to which previously Christ was not present.

This March, 4 years after that tragic loss, I would find myself traveling for respite to Genesis Ranch B&B. Hosted graciously by Pastor Justin and his incredible wife Jordan.

Where it was respite I was seeking. It was family within Christ I found. Brothers and Sisters anointed by the Lord on mutual observation of His word and will.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. (Jeremiah 29:11)

‘Hope’ is a fundamental part of the Christian faith. Our hope only grows through encountering God and meditating on His word. My time at Genesis Ranch provided just that hope and more.

At the table of ‘truth and reconciliation’, I repented my sins. I opened my heart fully and completely to the Lord.

It was during my time at Genesis Ranch, that I was in fact, born again. Baptized by Pastor Justin in the Tennessee river. Like Jesus and so many other children of God before me, I too carried my proverbial cross of guilt and wore my crown of thorns and shame. It was at Genesis Ranch, I gave my life, this life to the Lord. Matthew 16:25, “…but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” It was at Genesis Ranch I found my new life in the Lord, surrounded by brother Pastor Justin, Jordan, Bill, Dave, and Sammy.

Jesus saw wealth as a gift from God to be used in His service (Matthew 25:14-30). Those who have been blessed with wealth must share generously with the poor (Matthew 25:31-46), and avoid the sins of arrogance (1 Timothy 6:17-19), dishonesty (Exodus 20:15, Mark 10:19, Luke 3:12-14) and greed (Luke 12:13-21).

Those of us who are blessed with wealth beyond our need have a responsibility to share generously with the less fortunate. We should view our wealth as a gift from God, entrusted to us, to carry out His work on earth.

Whether this wealth manifests as pastor, or skilled in the art of media/marketing, have stood with your brothers in arms, or give of yourself through the healing arts.

God gives light to those who find themselves in darkness. His Light can take many forms. Be it food, clothing, shelter, advertising skills, healing, love of spirit or hope. Psalm 46:10.

God does not differentiate between these gifts, he sees all as his children, he sees us all as having gifts worthy to share in the community that is His family.

Matthew 7:7 ‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.’ I asked, He answered, I went seeking, He showed me the path, I knocked and He opened the door.”
